Hunt Transportation continues to be a truck transportation industry leader in Owner/Operator compensation. You will enjoy consistent freight and low deadhead. In addition, Hunt Transportation pays practical route miles instead of short route miles to our drivers.
At Hunt Transportation, there are two pay packages available for your selection: percentage or mileage.
Percentage
The plan starts at 67% of the gross revenue of each load, increasing 1% each year until reaching 70%, 71% the tenth year and 72% the fifteenth year.
1.5% productivity incentive payment each month the truck runs 10,000 miles or more
100% of tarp pay
Quarterly Safety Performance Bonus
Referral bonus of $1,000.00
Mileage
This plan is calculated on loaded miles per trip.
$1.59/mile for each trip with 0-150 loaded miles
$1.21/mile for each trip with 151-300 loaded miles
$ 0.95/mile for each trip with 301-700 loaded miles
$ 0.91/mile for each trip with 701-1200 loaded miles
$ 0.88/mile for each trip with 1201-2000 loaded miles
$ 0.87/mile for each trip with 2001+ miles
$ 0.60/mile for deadhead (empty) miles
1.5% productivity incentive payment each month the truck runs 10,000 miles or more
Over-dimensional loads pay an additional $.10 to $.25/mile determined by the size or the load.

Qualcomm® Fees
Installation is free. Rental is $10 per week.
Plates & Permits and Relicense Credit
Hunt Transportation purchases the base plates and permits when leasing the tractor on and then you reimburse the company the cost of the plates and permits. A full year of plates and permits is $1,850.00/year. During the first year with Hunt, the operator is responsible for 100% of the plates and permits. The second year, Hunt will pay 20% of the fee. The third year, Hunt will pay 40%; four year, 60%; fifth year, 80%; sixth year, 100%.
Fuel and Mileage Taxes
Hunt Transportation processes and pays all fuel taxes except for Illinois and Indiana. Hunt Transportation processes and pays all state mileage taxes.
Equipment
Operators are expected to have a full set of load securement equipment when they sign-on. Anyone with less than a full set of equipment can purchase the equipment from Hunt Transportation with a $500.00 deposit and then a weekly withholding of $100.00/week. The withholding will begin on the fifth week after signing on.
Cargo and Liability Insurance
Hunt Transportation pays your Cargo & Liability Insurance.
