JOB TITLE: Driver Recruiter
FLSA STATUS: Exempt -- Administrative
PREPARED: 3/07
SUMMARY: Communicates with driver applicants and coordinates various stages of the hiring process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Receives and carries out instructions.
Analyzes driver personnel needs for specific fleets and terminal locations. Communicates special needs to the Director of Driver Recruiting.
Communicates with job applicants regarding employment and application status.
Analyzes and creates reports dealing with recruiting and retention as required.
Recommends updates to current company employment package and hiring process as needed.
Travels as needed and attends recruiting trips involving trade shows, truck stops and nationwide seminars.
Keeps informed of company policies, procedures and terminal updates.
Performs special projects as needed.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to read, write, talk, see and hear.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs. as required.
General knowledge and proficient use of a computer and computer programs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Driver's License as required per location
Breath Alcohol Technician as required by supervisor
Specimen Collector for Drug Testing as required by supervisor
